Barcelona is woven with a world of awe-worthy attractions, from the Sagrada Familia to Casa Batllo. Having lived here for five years, I’ve recently felt the need to dive deeper beyond the surface. Here’s a handful of the most unique things to do in Barcelona, Spain.

Don’t get me wrong, the Sagrada Familia, Park Guell and Casa Batllo are incredible sites to see. Having lived in Barcelona for more than half a decade, I’ve been fortunate enough to experience a huge haul of the city’s highlights.

But having uncovered the slew of sightseeing opportunities, I’ve felt the need to spice things up. Recently, I’ve felt a craving to dive deeper into the dazzling depth of experiences in Catalonia.

Like some sort of innate calling to be entrenched in northeastern Spain’s most enlivening experiences…

So, as the spirited explorer I am, I got stuck into some good old-fashioned investigation.

I came across a series of unique things to do in Barcelona. With everything from pottery classes and sunset sails to helicopter rides and paint and wine workshops, my bucket list for the most unique activities began to grow. Poco a poco.

Among the handful of adrenaline-inducing and alcohol-infused highlights, I stumbled upon a few things that really stood out.

16. La Caseta del Migdia

Let’s get the ball rolling with a true local hot spot. La Caseta del Migdia hugs the heights of the heaving hilltops in Montjuic. And the views will leave you flabbergasted, at the very least. This gem is the perfect summertime hangout, but it’s also pretty pleasant in the autumn and spring months.

Whether you want to swing by for a quick drink or enjoy a bite to eat with friends, La Caseta del Migdia is a must-see. Better yet, it’s mostly known amongst locals, so you won’t have to battle through big crowds and endure long queues. Score!

The menu is quite basic, so don’t go expecting a gourmet meal. Although it sits on the simple end of the scale, you’ll still be able to feast like there’s no tomorrow. Don’t get me wrong, I love the top museums here. But, if there’s one that’s underrated, it’s the Moco Museum Barcelona. Gaudi gifted Barcelona with all-round architectural gems. That’s no secret! Sure, Sagrada Familia and Park Guell are among the most popular. And they deserve the attention they get.
